Hell, some horror Role-Playing games are all about discovering what some eldritch creature is all about before facing it down. This might be rep resented by conducting research, interrogating enemies, delving through ancient tomes, or casting scrying spells. If the Adventurers go out of their way to pull together the information they need, the Game Master should reward their efforts in some way. A clue to the NPC’s weakness or a bonus to attack rolls against it, perhaps? S ome formidable NPCs may have Villainy Points. Vil lainy Points are similar to Adventure Points... but used for EVVVVVIIIIIIIIL . The bad guys can use them in the following ways: •Bump the GM’s Die up for any single Challenge roll.
